  3. Both finished and unfinished wines are welcome to enter the show BUT ONLY wines that are finished, bottled and commercially available at the time of entry will be eligible for medals and trophies. Please, then, ensure that finished, bottled, commercially available wines are entered WITH their commercial labels and capsules on. ‘Cleanskin’ wines submitted WITHOUT capsules or commercial labels will be considered to be unfinished tank/barrel samples and as such will NOT be eligible for medals or trophies.
  4. 'Commercially available' is understood to mean the wine is bottled by - and available for purchase through retail outlets, cellar door sales or mail order at - the time of entry.
  5. All wines used in all classes must have been 100% grown and produced in Australia or New Zealand.
  6. Wines entered into varietal classes must comprise a minimum of 85% of the stated grape variety.

Confirmation of this may be requested if the person entering the wine is not the wine maker or a principal, executive or employee of the company which produced the wine.
  10. We will issue special labels for the exhibits and these will be mailed to exhibitors on Wednesday 29 September 2008.
  11. Wines in Experimental classes are not eligible for the major award.
  12. To qualify for a trophy the wine must be awarded a gold medal in the eligible classes.
