The following events will be staged during the 2010 Australian Alternative Varieties Wine Show in Mildura.

Joint AAVWS/ASVO Seminar
Friday 5 November 2010
Mildura Settlers Club
10am - 6pm
In 2010 the AAVWS team up with the Australian Society of Viticulture and Oenology (ASVO) to present a full day event focusing on the growing, making and marketing of alternative varieties.
The seminar will include a diverse range of presentations from Australian and international speakers and a structured tasting with AAVWS Chief of Judges Max Allen. A collaborative first for AAVWS & ASVO which is bound to be a fruitful partnership.
An event not to be missed.

2010 AAVWS Chalmers Event
“A Flippant Affair”
Thursday 4th November, 7pm
The Woolshed Lawns @ Old Mildura Homestead, Cureton Avenue

Frock up in your finery, throw on your flip flops and wander down to the Woolshed to join the Chalmers family who along with Andy and Mandy Williams will host a cocktail style evening where your tastebuds will be tantalised like never before.
Guest chef Jim McDougall, from the legendary Melbourne restaurant Vue de Monde, has crafted a divine nine course tasting menu matched to the Chalmers range of Italian variety wines and showcasing a collective of artisan fine food producers from across Australia.
Come along and celebrate fabulous food and wine while you nibble on a yabby, sip a sagrantino, laze on the lawns, marvel at the Murray or partake in a little petanque as the sun goes down…

Mildura Function Centre (entry in Twelfth St between San Mateo Ave and Etiwanda Ave, Mildura)
Free for 2010 Show entrants
$10 pp to the general public (includes commemorative tasting glass)
8:00 am - 10:00 am: Entrant Only Tasting with judges feedback and scores.
10:00 am - 11:00 am: Public Tasting
